A Bit About Us

Here at Every Family Counts, we see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginnings in 2020, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our charity upon: support, empowerment, and progress.

The idea for the charity came about by Gill Owen who was the head teacher at Low Hill Nursery for many years.  She could see that her parents and children faced many of the same issues and wanted to help them.  Knowing that people don't want to be told what to do, she aimed to empower them to help them take control of their lives like never before.

Her deputy head, Natalie Showell, took over her role and passion when she retired and the motivation to create this charity developed.

We are made up of five trustees who came together with a common goal - to support those who we recognise aren't being given the help they need.
